November, 2006

• November 26, 2006 -- West Springfield, MA --"Jackson" - K'Mander Just Before The Deluge - owned by Eric and Ellen Kamp - took Winner's Dog, and Best of Winners for a 5 point major at the Springfield Kennel Club show in West Springfield, MA under judge Mr. Norman Kenney. 

  

   

  Tragically... Eric suffered a fatal heart attack shortly after judging.  Please keep Ellen in your thoughts and prayers and remember how precious yet fragile life can be.  Eric was respected and loved by his fellow flat-coat competitors and friends and will be greatly missed. 

• November 25, 2006 -- West Springfield, MA -- "Bailey" - K'Mander Goodfella Bailey, RN  (CH K'Mander Elementary My Dear x CH FowlPlay Wing K'Mander) - owned by Margaret and Terry Uminsky earned his Rally Novice  (RN) title.

• November 5, 2006 -- My very cute puppy "Chatter" won Best of Breed Puppy,  Best Puppy in Sporting Group and Best Puppy in Match at the Taconic Hills Kennel Club All-Breed Match in Yorktown Heights, New York under judge Sharon Lyons.

• November 4, 2006 -- Bloomsburg, PA -- "Jackson" - K'Mander Just Before The Deluge - owned by Eric and Ellen Kamp - took Winner's Dog, at the Mid-Atlantic Flat-Coated Retriever Club's supported entry  for  4 points at the Back Mountain Kennel Club show under judge Everitt Dean.

October, 2006

• We didn't come home from the "Wine Country" circuit with a lot of impressive ribbons... but we did come home with one *very* cute puppy.  Meet "Chatter"

• October 1, 2006 -- Oyster Bay, NY -- "Jackson" - K'Mander Just Before The Deluge - owned by Eric and Ellen Kamp - took Winner's Dog, Best of Winners and Best of Breed  for  2 points at the Westbury Kennel Association show under judge Karen B. Ashe.

• September 10, 2006 -- Tarrytown, NY -- "Logan" - K'Mander Island Runner - owned by Margaret and Terry Uminsky - took Winner's Dog, Best of Winners and Best of Breed  for  1 point at the Westchester Kennel Club under judge Dr. Robert Indeglia.

• July 9, 2006 -- Wrentham, MA -- "Snitch" - K'Mander Informant won Winners Dog,  and Best of Winners  for 4 points at the Holyoke Kennel Club show under judge Thomas W. Baldwin.

FLAT-COATED RETRIEVER SOCIETY OF CANADA SPECIALTY NEWS

• June 25, 2006 -- Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA -- CONGRATULATIONS again to "Chance" (K'Mander Jumping Jack Splash,JH, TD, WC for earning his Working Certificate title at the Flat-Coated Retriever Society of Canada Specialty Field Events.  Chance was handled to his WC by his owner Beth Snow!  While "Chance" was having a successful day at the field events, his dad "Klute" went on to another Best of Breed and Sporting Group1 at the Lethbridge and District Kennel Club show under judge Grant Townsand.

• June 24, 2006 -- Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA -  "Chance" - K'Mander Jumping Jack Splash TD, JH  (Am/Can CH Eagletarn When The Levy Breaks Am/Can CD/JH/WCX , Am WC  x CH FowlPlay Wing K'Mander)  owned by Peter and Beth Snow won Winner's Dog for 4 points at the Lethbridge and District Kennel Club under judge Thomas Alexander. 

• June 24, 2006 -- Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA --  CONGRATULATIONS to "Klute" -  Am/Can CH Eagletarn When The Levy Breaks Am/Can CD/JH/WCX , Am WC (sire of the K'Mander "J" litter) and his owner/handler Anna Daly for winning BEST IN SPECIALTY at the 2006 Flat-Coated Retriever Society of Canada's Specialty Show.  Klute also won 1st place in the Field Dog class and "Chance" also helped his dad "Klute" win 1st place in the Stud Dog Class at the Specialty.

• June 23, 2006 -- Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA -- "Chance" - K'Mander Jumping Jack Splash TD, JH  (Am/Can CH Eagletarn When The Levy Breaks Am/Can CD/JH/WCX , Am WC  x CH FowlPlay Wing K'Mander)  owned by Peter and Beth Snow won  BEST IN PUPPY SWEEPS at the Canadian Flat-Coated Retriever Specialty Show under judge William Gugins.    Before the day was over, "Klute" went on to win Best of Breed, Sporting Group 1 and BEST IN SHOW at the Lethbridge and District Kennel Club Show under judge Mr. Donald Wallace.

• SPECIALTY RIBBONS!! -- May 12, 2006 -- Gray Summitt, MO.  "Java" helped her daddy "Klute" (Am/Can CH Eagletarn When The Levy Breaks Am/Can CD, JH ,WCX  Am WC) win 2nd place in the Stud Dog Class at the Flat-Coated Retriever Society of America Specialty under breeder judge Ann Yuhasz.

• May 11, 2006 -- Gray Summit, MO -- "Cash" - FowlPlay Just Desserts owned by Kurt Anderson and Lynn Fiffer took a 3rd place ribbon in the 9 - 12 month puppy class  at the Flat-Coated Retriever Society of America Specialty show under British judge Ann Kilminster.

• May 11, 2006 -- Gray Summit, MO -- "Snitch" - K'Mander Informant won a 4rd place ribbon in the Bred-By Exhibitor class at the Flat-Coated Retriever Society of America Specialty show under British judge Ann Kilminster.

• NEW TITLE !!  -- April 29, 2006 -- Bridal Falls, BC -- "Chance" - K'Mander Jumping Jack Splash JH, TD - owned by Peter and Beth Snow  earned his Junior HunterTitle (JH) in just  two weekends!!   The Canadian Kennel Club requires  3 passes or legs versus AKC of 4.. First  pass was April 23,Okanagan Retriever Club at Vernon B.C., Judges Susan Endersby and Doug Leach. Second and third pass at BC Lab. Club at Bridal Falls B.C. April 29 and 30. Judges Saturday, Esko Kuitula and Katie Carr, Sunday Doug Field and Sean Bennett.

• April 23, 2006 -- West Springfield, MA -- "Snitch" - K'Mander Informant won Winner's Dog for 2 points at the South Windsor Kennel Club Show under judge Dr. Elizabeth Trainor.

• April 22, 2006 -- West Springfield, MA -- "Java" - K'Mander Just Desserts was awarded Reserve Winner's Bitch at the Pioneer Valley Kennel Club Show under judge Jon Cole.

• NEW TITLE !!  -- April 2, 2006 -- Delta, BC -- "Chance" - K'Mander Jumping Jack Splash TD- owned by Peter and Beth Snow  earned his Tracking Dog Title (TD) from the Canadian Kennel Club at Golden Retriever Club of British Columbia (GRCBC).  Chance was the youngest dog in the test!  Congratulations to Chance and Beth and Peter

• April 2, 2006 -- Syracuse, NY -- "Java" -  K'Mander Just Desserts - took Winner's Bitch for a 4 point major at the Central New York Kennel Club show under judge Mrs. Paula Nykiel.  At the same show, "Snitch" - K'Mander Informant - took Reserve Winner's Dog.

• April 1, 2006 -- Berkeley Township, NJ -- "Logan" - K'Mander Island Runner - owned by Margaret and Terry Uminsky - took Winner's Dog, Best of Winners and Best of Breed  for 2 points at the Sand and Sea Kennel Club under judge Laura J. Dedering

• March 26, 2006 -- Edison, New Jersey -- "Jackson" - K'Mander Just Before The Deluge - owned by Eric and Ellen Kamp was awarded Winner's Dog and Best of Winners  for two points under judge Terry DePietro at the Twin Brooks Kennel Club show. 

• March 25 and 26th, 2006 -- Bremerton, Washington -- "Chance" - K'Mander Jumping Jack Splash - owned by Peter and Beth Snow  was awarded Winner's Dog and Best of Opposite Sex over 2 male specials for  four points under judge Howard Falberg at the Peninsula Dog Fanciers Association show.  "Chance" also was awarded Reserve Winner's Dog the next day under judge Donald Downing

• March 12, 2006 -- White Plains, NY -- "Jackson" - K'Mander Just Before The Deluge - owned by Eric and Ellen Kamp was awarded Winner's Dog for his first point! under judge Robert Salsbury at the Saw Mill River Kennel Club show.  Jackson was also awarded Best of Breed and Jackson enjoyed himself immensely in the group ring.
